Come and visit the interactive exhibition of “Spread(it)out”!

On 16th February the exhibition of selfmade posters with graffiti statements made by young participants of our project “Spread(it)out” started with a great vernissage in Kukoon!

The visitors had time to look around and interact with the samples in fulfilling creative tasks on the overall topic of the project: “Zusammenleben mitgestalten” – which means the co-creation of living together (in Bremen). Following this, the selfmade video dialogs with politicians from Bremen was shown on-screen. Afterwards, a discussion was initiated to give visitors and participants of the project the possibility to ask questions about each others ideas concerning the topic and the project. For example, people discussed about the importance of the idea that all humans are the same but still different. Also it was criticized that in Germany degrees that were earned in other countries are often not accepted easily, so that concerned people cannot work in their profession here. This certainly does not help them to get a foothold in a new surrounding. Another topic in the discussion was why so many young refugees have to live together in the smallest spaces. One participant said that it is difficult to cope with the stress that is triggered by those living conditions. Another participant brought out that the group wished to have even more time to interact with the politicians as in the video dialogs. Another one said that he himself would like to be a politician in the future.

Would you like to share your ideas on the topic “living together in Bremen”, too? Until the middle of March 2017 you can take the opportunity, have a look at the exhibition pieces and leave your ideas and even your critical points of view.

COME TO KUKOON, Buntentorsteinweg 29 in BREMEN NEUSTADT!
