‘Where do you come from?’ is a question that young people coming to Bremen often have to answer, in many differerent contexts. However, we ask: ‚Where are you going? What is bothering you, where are you spending your free time, which spaces belong to your everyday life, how and where do you feel comfortable?’

Following the goal to render young perspectives visible in public space, young people explore Bremen with the support of VAJA e.V. and Bremer Jugendring in our project “Unexpected” from their own viewpoints. Supported by the “Digital Urban Impact Lab” they can edit own videos and photos of their favourite places in a professional way. Ideas will not be limited at all! Places in Bremen can be discovered from new perspectives: high-quality photos, videos, 3D-models or sound recordings will be produced. Priority is given to fun in testing new media and in engaging with favourite places, whether seen from the own perspective or from these of old and new friends.

We meet on Thursday, 1st February at 2 pm in Breitenweg 34 at the VAJA e.V. office. There we will start the project with getting to know each other. You can bring photos or other material if you have some.
